Okay, I have been seeing it way too much lately, when someone is trying to speak correctly, and they use "I" everytime. So, this is how I teach my kids when to use "me or I".
Ask yourself, "Does it sound right when I take the other person out of the sentence?"
Example #1 : "Toby and me want to go with you." "Me want to go with you." NO
"Toby and I want to go with you." "I want to go with you." YES
Example #2 : "Will you go with Toby and I?" "Will you go with I?" NO
"Will you go with Toby and me?" "Will you go with me?" YES

Why am I not more organized!?!
A friend of mine once told me, "you've got to be the most organized person that I know!" Man, do I wish! It does seem like that is all I am doing. The question, "What are you doing?" The answers, "Organizing my closet", "Organizing my kitchen drawers", Organizing my kids' closets", "Organizing the school room". The answer is always, "Organizing __fill in the blank__."
So, why does it feel like I am not really organized at all!?! Is it actually worse to be too organized? Is that even a possibility? Is that why I feel like I am not organized? Or am I just OCD, will never be able to get organized enough?
It could be that when I organize the house and put everything in its place, it's easier for everyone else to find what they want, and then for them to lose again! Because, we all know that no matter how easy you make it for everyone to know where certain items belong, they don't ever end up in that place!
So, I say, keep doing what you're doing and don't drive yourself crazy wondering why you're not more organized. And maybe I'll take my own advice!

Just a few reasons why I homeschool!
I don't get negative response very often, but when I do, I really irks me! Do I give you negativity for the decision you made for sending your child off for someone else to teach them, or try to teach them, what they need to learn? NO! Personally, I think that whatever decision a parent makes should be respected. I know that not all parents can home school their children, and as long as parents aren't putting it all on the school system to educate their children; I believe they are doing what they can. So, try not to be judgemental of someone for something that you obviously have no education on. So, to get going on just a few of the reasons why I choose to home school my children.
First, I know what my children are learning. Not just learning, actually grasping! I can move faster for the child who is getting bored because the studies are too easy, or I can move slowly for the child who just isn't quite getting it. Either way, I only have 2 to 4 children that I need to keep track of, unlike a typical school room of 23 to 30 kids per teacher.
Second, my kids aren't involved in the drama that goes on in school. And from what I have heard, there is a lot of that going on! Just a minimal example: A girl in the third grade comes home from school and is really upset. She tells her mom, "Julie says I can't talk to Sara because she's not in our group. And Julie is the leader of our group, so if I do talk to Sara, everyone will stop talking to me." (The names of the girls have been changed) The girl was really upset, but if she was to speak to Sara, then her other "friends" wouldn't talk to her anymore. So, not wanting to lose more friends, she falls into peer pressure of following the leader. Which leads me to the third reason of why I home school.
Third, the only peer pressure my kids are under is from each other. And since I am teaching all of my kids, I am pretty sure that their peer pressure is a lot more innocent than what they would get in school.
Fourth, there is no bullying going on in this schoolhouse! No one is making fun of their clothes, shoes, hair, weight, clumsiness, learning abilities, etc.. (Not that my kids have problems in any of those areas!) LOL
Fifth, freedom. We can go on vacation when everyone else is in school, and we can take our school work with us. We can go to the museum, zoo, or science center to help with visuals of what we are learning. We have the freedom to make our family come first!
Sixth, if my kids are sick, I can still teach them while they are in their pj's and they won't get left behind. (Four out of my five kids have been diagnosed with asthma.) So, anyone who understands, when a child with asthma gets sick it lasts longer than just a couple of days. I can't just send my child who is suffering from asthma to school and hope that someone keeps an eye on them for me. This way, I can keep an eye on them, keep them calm, and teach them what they need to learn.
Anyway, I could go on I'm sure, and maybe someday I will. But for now it's late and I have to go plan some projects. I hope that this helps anyone who never quite understood why someone decides to home school. And remember, don't be judgemental of something you really have no clue about!
